School of Power and Energy followed the distinct tradition of NPU’s academic excellence in aeronautics, astronautics, and marine technology, focuses on nurturing the students with in-depth knowledge and global vision. Today, 108 full-time faculty members, who are leaders in their respective disciplines, devote much of their time and energy to teaching and advising 1202 students who are benefiting from studying in one of the nation’s best engineering schools.Situated in the arms of the famous Qingling Mountains where the new 642-acre campus of NPU lies, School of Power and Energy enjoys exceptionally beautiful mountain view and magnificent scenery of the changing seasons.
Besides living with the nature, our students are provided with diverse courses including non-engineering subjects taught by renowned faculty and therefore they grow in the understanding of the complex social, political, economic and environmental implications of new technological products and processes.
Engineering is a challenging and rewarding field for young people of talent and creativity. It calls for the art and expertise of designing technological systems that benefit society. To reach these goals, our students will be taught by staff with several years of industrial and teaching experience; and we also have guest professors from renowned institutions and corporations in China to regularly deliver speeches and lectures, providing a great opportunity for students to learn about the current developments and challenges.
From the first day of class to Commencement, the opportunities for personal growth are countless with numerous students’ clubs, innovation and research centers. You will not be surprised that, after years of learning here, many of our graduates have established outstanding achievements not only in technical fields but also in academia, business, government, and as leaders in their community.
