At the beginning of the new semester, in order to guide college students to develop self-discipline, form good living habits, and create a clean, safe, and healthy dormitory living environment, on February 27th, the School of Power and Energy organized a spring student dormitory safety inspection and civilized dormitory evaluation work.
This inspection activity was uniformly deployed by the college party committee, led by the deputy secretary of the college, Mr. Liu Haiyong, and jointly carried out by full-time and part-time counselors. The inspection covered more than 10 apartment buildings, including Yuntianyuan E, B, C, Xingtianyuan A, E, H, and Haitianyuan 1 and 2, with a total of 465 college undergraduate, master's, and doctoral student dormitories.
According to the relevant requirements of the school's student dormitory management measures, on-site inspections focused on carefully and comprehensively inspecting the safety hazards of electricity use in student dormitories, illegal electrical appliances, balcony debris, and overall hygiene environment.
During the inspection, it was found that there were more than 20 dormitories with hidden dangers of flammable materials such as cardboard boxes, books, and cardboard boxes stacked on the balcony or living room, and more than 20 dormitories with poor hygiene. In response to the issues found during the inspection, feedback has been provided to relevant students and counselors, and immediate cleaning and rectification have been carried out. Resolutely prevent and curb the occurrence of safety hazards and health risks in apartments.
