On the morning of May 13, 2025, Professor CY Wen from the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University visited our school for an exchange .
The two sides first held a cooperation exchange meeting. Liu Cunliang, Dean of the School of Power and Energy Engineering, Wang Zhiwu, Vice Dean, and Chen Yuzhi, Assistant to the Dean, attended the meeting . In-depth discussions were conducted on topics including overseas final year projects (overseas graduation design), dual-degree training programs, and joint project applications .

Professor Wen briefly introduced the learning and living situation of the nine students from the school who conducted their graduation design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He acknowledged the outcomes of their graduation projects and expressed his anticipation for deeper exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in areas such as student co-supervision and academic research. He emphasized the need to develop a two-way, sustainable model for joint talent cultivation and to promote academic exchanges.

Subsequently, Professor Wen delivered an academic report titled "Advances in Adaptive Algorithms and Simulation of Detonation Waves in Three-Dimensional Curved Ducts" for the school's young faculty and postgraduate students. The report separately introduced the research outcomes in the two areas of adaptive algorithms and detonation waves in 3D curved ducts.
Professor Wen and the attending faculty and students engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on relevant academic topics. Everyone expressed that they benefited greatly from the interaction.
